Rebecca Smillie

Under the leadership of the vice-president of corporate relations, Rebecca leads the community investment portfolio to maximize sponsorship and corporate social responsibility initiatives of Alberta Blue Cross.
With experience working in both not-for-profit, and corporate community investment, Rebecca lends a unique lens for partnerships and meaningful brand experience to her role. Prior to joining Alberta Blue Cross, Rebecca was Founder of Purpose Collective, a boutique community investment consulting firm that worked to help companies define their purpose to drive business growth and impact.
In her free time, Rebecca hosts and produces Nuance of Impact, a podcast that shares the stories of social impact from the people leading change. Rebecca has interviewed executives from leading brands like Beats by Dr. Dre, Lyft, MEC, Curaleaf, and the David Suzuki Foundation. Rebecca believes in true community and has supported many organizations through volunteerism, committee and board work including Dogs with Wings, Prescription to Get Active, Alberta Cancer Foundation, and Ronald McDonald House.
Rebecca currently resides in Edmonton with her husband, Adrian and dog, Walker
